The KCDS staff set the standard in Quality, Reliability & Professionalism.

KCDS “matches” the skill level and personality of support workers with your preference to provide the best possible support. Our aim is to ensure the participant and the support worker are both comfortable during their session.
We would never assign together a participant and a support worker without a rigorous and thorough check into everyone’s abilities, comforts, interests and goals.

Support Worker Selection

We are committed to ensuring you are provided with the highest quality services. This is achieved through a thorough personnel selection process which includes: a review of written applications, a face to face interview, referee checks, authentication of qualifications, police check, working with children check (if applicable), disability worker exclusion check and optional shadow shifts to ensure support workers are well trained in their roles and tasks.

Our Support Workers are trained in Applied First Aid, Epilepsy, Anaphylaxis and Medication Administration. We ensure that they work with you in a way that enables you to take part in activities of everyday life as far as functionally possible.

All Support Workers are accountable to the Service Manager. They are responsible for the provision of care and support to participants of Kate Cares Disability Services and therefore must be safety screened and skilled in working directly with participants, their families and members of the community.

Our Commitment to Quality of Service

We will treat you with respect, kindness and dignity. We will respect your privacy and uphold your human rights at all times.

We will provide services in accordance with the agreed Care Plan.

We will only employ quality, compassionate and competent support workers – the kind of people whom we would be happy to have assist our own family members.
